About Us
Founded by Amar Maurya, the company was built around a simple observation: global demand for makhana is growing faster than the trading infrastructure supporting it. Many international buyers still struggle to find suppliers who combine consistent quality with straightforward, professional communication. Amar Transglobe Exports exists to close that gap.
Our Story
Makhana has been part of Indian food culture for generations, harvested from the still ponds and wetlands of Bihar, in eastern India — a region responsible for the vast majority of the world’s makhana production. What was once a regional delicacy and a staple of Indian festivals and fasting rituals has, in the last few years, become an international superfood: gluten-free, low in fat, high in plant protein, and satisfyingly crunchy in a way few “”healthy”” snacks manage.
We started Amar Transglobe Exports to meet that global shift head-on — not as a large, impersonal trading house, but as a focused, founder-led operation where every buyer relationship gets real attention, and every shipment is handled with the seriousness it deserves.
That focus was a deliberate choice. Rather than spreading thin across dozens of products from day one, we chose to start with the category we understand best and believe in most, and to build our reputation on doing that one thing properly — before ever thinking about what comes next
Our Markets
We are serving a growing global market where demand for premium makhana is rising among health-conscious consumers seeking better-for-you snacking alternatives. As an Indian-origin superfood, makhana carries strong authenticity and appeal across international markets. Our approach is focused on building strong buyer relationships, meeting the right certifications and quality standards, and developing a reliable logistics network to serve customers across different countries.
We are also mindful that makhana is a low-density, moisture-sensitive product, which means freight planning, packaging, and Incoterm selection matter as much as the product itself. We factor these variables into every quote from the outset, ensuring transparent pricing and a smooth export process without unexpected costs after an order is confirmed.
What We Do
As a merchant exporter, our role is to connect the right supply with the right demand — and to manage everything in between. That includes supplier vetting and quality checks, grading and packaging aligned to destination-market requirements, accurate export documentation, and coordinating freight and logistics so that what leaves Bihar arrives at your warehouse in the condition you expect.
We see ourselves less as a middleman and more as an extension of our buyers’ own sourcing teams: understanding your grade specifications, your labeling and packaging preferences, and your delivery timelines, and building our process around those needs rather than asking you to adapt to ours.
Every enquiry gets a straightforward response: realistic pricing benchmarked against current market rates, honest lead times, and clarity on what we can and cannot do at a given order size — so you can plan your own business around numbers that hold up.
How We Work
Working with Amar Transglobe Exports means working directly with the person responsible for getting your order right — not being routed through layers of account managers. That means faster answers, honest updates on timelines and pricing, and a genuine willingness to adapt to what your business specifically needs, whether that’s a particular grade mix, packaging format, or documentation requirement.
We think this is a real advantage. Trading partners who are building their reputation take nothing for granted — every shipment matters, every buyer relationship matters, and there is no incentive to cut corners when your future depends on doing right by the people you work with.
